Regional Championships

What is a Regional Champion?
A Regional Champion is the overall Champion Fainting Goat Buck, Doe, and Wether
in a given region of the United States.

Our goal is to recognize those special extraordinary Fainting Goat in each region.

How does my goat become a Regional Champion?
At the end of each year, if your Fainting Goat qualifies (see eligibility below), he/she can compete against other Champion Fainting Goats within your Region of the United States.

ELIGIBILITY

1.  Open to purebred buck, doe, and wether Fainting Goats (any buck, doe, or wether already registered as 100% with a Fainting Goat registry or documentation as to family linage). If not registered, a copy of family linage must be provided to the FGG Directors.

2.  Have been awarded at least one (1) Grand Championship in a live open or Registry Sanctioned show during the year in any region (no virtual shows). Finished Grand Champions from Registry Sanctioned shows may automatically enter without having been shown that year.

3.  Proof of Grand Championship win must accompany entry form. Examples of acceptable forms of proof include, but are not limited to:

  • Result printout posted by Show Coordinators or Registries listing the goat as having won Grand Champion.

  • Finished Grand Champion certificate from a Fainting Goat Registry.

  • Other proof may be acceptable. Please contact us to determine if your proof of wins would be acceptable.

4.  Reside within the region hosting the Regional Championship show. For a listing of the regions, please see Regions below. An exception to this eligibility requirement will be made for those individuals residing in a location where no Regional Championships are being held.
